Editat de Ka-Ho Mok, Kar Ming Yuen Limba Engleză Hardback – 9 oct 2013
Internationalization of Higher Education in East Asia critically examines and provides comparative perspectives on the major strategies that selected Asian countries and societies have adopted to transform their higher education sector and enhance their national competitiveness in the increasingly globalized world.
This volume by leading scholars in the field of education development and policy studies makes critical reflections on how Asian governments in particular and universities in general have responded to the growing challenges of globalization by promoting more internationalization, student mobility and entrepreneurship in higher education. This book is an essential collection for policy makers, researchers and postgraduate students studying higher education, Asian education and international education.

Recenzii
"Key strengths of this volume include the breadth and varied approaches taken to examining a range of topics related to internationalization in East Asia and the quality of writing of the contributing authors. The chapters are largely complementary and they flow well, with only a few unnecessary areas of overlap, for example on education hubs. The book will have wide appeal, being a must-read for policy makers, researchers and students. Readers will benefit from staying up-to-date with the latest trends, ideas and thinking that is currently impacting upon higher education in East Asia." - Stephen Wilkins, Plymouth University and Visiting Lecturer at Hong University SPACE
"The spectacular rise of higher education in all its contemporary forms in East Asia constitutes one of the most important instances of human capital growth in recent history. This volume provides a most useful conceptual framework for these events coupled with original data that will be of value to scholars, policy makers and students." - Deane Neubauer, Professor, East-West Centre, University of Hawaii, Hawaii
