Notă biografică
Isabelle Delpla is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University Montpellier III. Her research focuses on international ethics and justice and the relationships between philosophy and anthropology. She has conducted field work in Bosnia with victim associations, Hague witnesses, and convicted war criminals. Her publications include: Quine, Davidson: Le principe de charite (2001); L'Usage anthropologique du principe de charite (2002); Peines de guerre. La justice penale internationale et l'ex-Yougoslavie (co-ed. with Magali Bessone, 2010); and Le Mal en proces. Eichmann et les theodicees modernes (2011). Xavier Bougarel is Researcher at the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Paris. He is currently researching on the wars of the 1990s and their aftermath in the former Yugoslavia and the transformations of Islam in the post-Communist Balkans. His publications include:Bosnie, anatomie d'un conflit (1996); Le nouvel islam balkanique. Les musulmans, acteurs du post-communisme 1990-2000(co-ed., with Nathalie Clayer, 2001); The New Bosnian Mosaic. Identities, Memories and Moral Claims in a Post War Society (co-ed.,with Elissa Helms and Ger Duijzings, 2007). Jean-Louis Fournel is Professor at the University Paris 8. His research focuses on the history of warfare, political thought, and rhetoric of the Italian Renaissance. In collaboration with Jean-Claude Zancarini, he has published translations of texts by Machiavelli, Savonarola, and Guicciardini; and La politique de l'experience (2003) and La grammaire de la Republique (2009). Between 1997 and 2001, he directed several European cooperation programs with universities in Bosnia-Herzegovina. In 1994, while the city was under siege, he co-organized the initiative a sister relationship between his university and that of Sarajevo.
