Asad Q. Ahmed is Associate Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies in the Department of Near Eastern Studies, the University of California, Berkeley.
Robert Hoyland is Professor of the Late Antique and Early Islamic History of the Middle East at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, New York University.
Adam Silverstein is Associate Professor of Middle Eastern History at Bar Ilan University.
