Although aimed specifically at those primary trainees working towards their QTS, this book is an excellent resource for someone who finds themselves teaching maths  for the first time, or for someone who would like to move his or her own current teaching practice to a higher standard.......Far from being focused only on the ideal classroom setting (which teachers rarely, if ever, encounter), the authors recognise and address common issues. They include potential problems such as, ‘Many classrooms do not have enough space to sit the whole class on the carpet and at tables without moving furniture during the lesson,’ and describe ways of addressing these difficulties.
