Storage Policies and Maintenance Support Strategies in Warehousing Systems: Springer Theses

Autor Xiaolong Guo
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 30 mai 2018
This book studies storage policies in warehousing systems and maintenance-support strategies for critical operational systems in warehouses, which are the most important issues affecting operational efficiency of warehousing systems. It expands on the theory of class-based storage by considering a finite number of items in store, and also introduces the maintenance-support strategy founded on performance-based contract theory. It is a valuable resource for researchers, practitioners and engineers in the fields of industrial engineering, operations management, operations research and management science.

Caracteristici

Studies the class-based storage policy by considering the finiteness of the number of items in store Shows that commonly a small number (3– 5) of classes is optimal for the warehousing system under class-based storage policy Reveals the relationship between optimal availability requirement and profitability of the equipment Analyzes the optimal maintenance-support strategies of assembled equipment by considering the profitability of the equipment Includes supplementary material: sn.pub/extras
