Advances in sensing technology, microelectronics, telecommunications and miniaturisation have opened up a range of applications and possibilities for wearable sensors. With the ability to monitor a vast range of physiological parameters, combined with wireless technology, wireless sensor networks and the Internet of Things, such sensors are revolutionising the field of digital health monitoring, with huge implications for health management.
