English summary: Between the Second Punic War (201 BC) and the civil war between Caesarian and Pompeian forces (49 BC), corruption became a central fact of Roman political life. This book analyzes the various forms of corruption (electoral, political, judicial) and their legal consequences on the functioning of the Roman system. Using a holistic approach, it shows that even seemingly distant factors, such as the financial crises of the first century BC, were related to corruption.
