B. J. Sokol is Emeritus Professor of the University of London (Goldsmith's College) and Senior Research Associate at University College London, UK. His publications include Shakespeare's Artists: The Painters, Sculptors, Poets and Musicians in his Plays and Poems (Arden Shakespeare, 2018), Shakespeare and Tolerance (2008) and with Mary Sokol, Shakespeare's Legal Language (2000 and 2004).
