Recenzii

"This innovative volume is essential reading for students, interpreters and researchers.  It is innovative because it covers all areas of interpreting (conference, sign language, court, healthcare and more) from a global point of view and includes chapters on such under-researched topics as sight translation, translation for the mass media and transcription and translation. The Handbook brings together the work of 32 leading scholars to provide a comprehensive overview of the past, present and future of interpreting. The breadth and scope of this book make it a must have." - Mary Phelan, Dublin City University, Ireland
"This handbook's comprehensive overviews, multiple foci, insightful guidance, and wealth of authentic references make it into a true encyclopedia of interpreting that will be of great use to a wide and varied readership of interpreting students, users of interpreting services, practitioners, and interpreting researchers - to anyone who is interested in the field and wants to gain deeper insights into it." - Lihua Jiang, Hunan Normal University, China
"As its name suggests, the handbook is a resourceful collection of topics in interpreting, offering a comprehensive overview of the past, present and and futiure of interpreting." - Hua Song, Xiamen University, China
