Descriere
With contributions from many leading mathematicians, including Mikhail Lyubich, John Milnor, Mitsuhiro Shishikura, and William Thurston, this collection reflects the fruitful interplay between diverse mathematical fields bound together by the common theme of complex dynamics, including hyperbolic geometry, number theory, group theory, combinatorics, and general dynamics. Some of the chapters, including one by Thurston on the general subject of complex dynamics, are classic manuscripts of influential yet previously unpublished work. Other chapters contain fresh, original insights and bring readers to the current frontier of research.
